Stopmotion software

Samples of animations from Fife schools

are worth viewing. Plus there are many

more on Radiowaves' Animation Station.

You can become actively involved in creating your own animations like many other Fife pupils have been doing for a number of years now.

We focus on using as much free software as possible or we recommend inexpensive software and cameras from companies who support the education community. Animation can be used from early years and extends well into secondary school as the task set decides on how complex it will be.

Stop Motion animation can be done using a number of programs.

Pivot Stickman is a very good starter and has its own page of information.

The Digi Blue camera has been used for many years.

ZU3D is a new stop-motion animation program designed for schools. It has been developed in consultation with a professional animator and primary school children.
