About ICT in Fife schools and Radiowaves
The ICT Showcase was held in the Auchterderran Centre on the 1st September 2011. Over 300 teachers attended the 3 hour exhibition and workshops showcasing the way ICT is used across the curriculum in Fife schools.
Mr K. Greer, Executive Director of Education, exhibitors and visitors were interviewed and the video uploaded to the FifeFm pages on Radiowaves.
There were 5 rooms running a series of workshops on all aspects of ICT usage including Games Technology, Emerging Technology, e-portfolios and Additional Support Needs (Word Talk, Clicker, Boardmaker).
The stands covered the 6 schools engaged in the Primary Netbook Pilot - the results of which have seen many more Fife schools work with the Education Service to plan the rollout of wireless and mobile access (as set out in the e-Vision strategy).
All the schools present had evidence of using glow to benefit their learners; indeed primary and secondary pupils were present on many stands to demonstrate what they were doing in their classes.
