Why was this work undertaken?
|
| The Intel Microscope was an
exciting resource, delivered just as P7 were about to begin their
"Life on Earth" topic. |
|
| Children were encouraged to experiment with the resource initially,
before being directed into specific tasks related to their science
investigations. |
|
What was the impact on pupils' learning?
|
| Pupils were comfortable and confident with this simple to use, yet
powerful piece of equipment. All, including less able children, used
it successfully in investigative work, achieving higher standards
than with a conventional microscope. |
|
What was the impact of teaching strategies?
|
| · Enabled interactive investigative
sessions |
|
| · Encouraged independent
learning with willingness to experiment. |
| · Enhanced presentation
and recording techniques with ease. |
