Our Special Educational Needs Department
display illustrates the wide number of learning experiences and
opportunities our pupils have to use computer software and peripherals
in their everyday learning.
From a sample menu of the software
used regularly, to specific skill development in the use of the
digital camera for exploring art, the value of the use of ICT across
the curriculum can be clearly seen.

In designing, making and laminating a placemat
for themselves to use at 'snack' time, our children related their skills
in ICT to Health Education, Social and Design skills.
The teachers' comments underline the value
of this kind of work -
- "Raised awareness of hygiene
issues
children were able to choose their
own designs
and create very individual places of
work"
|
- "Children working independently
sharing enthusiasm"
|
- "Confidence and self-esteem
boosted"
