The first set of sand dunes at Holywell Bay, Newquay. The early evening shadow shows the height of these sand dunes. Marram grass is beginning to fix the dune and further back the vegetation is thicker on the older dunes. In the distance houses appear above the dunes. Notice the fence placed here to block off areas replanted to stabilise the dunes.
