Embryo Dune The first sand dune to form above the strandline. This beach at Braunton Sands, near Barnstaple, North Devon shows evidence of colonisation by marram grass. Unfortunately, humans are causing pollution with the amount of rubbish washed onto the shore. In the distance a large hotel complex dominates the raised, level land. Decide if this is a raised beach.
