The Inspiration (version 7.5) menu bar

You can use the RapidFire tool when you want to add a series of connected ideas to a symbol. The advantage of using the RapidFire tool is that you can concentrate on adding the ideas, rather than creating symbols one at a time. Each symbol you add is automatically linked to the symbol you start with.

This very useful tool links boxes to help develop a topic such as the files stored in the Fife Education sample page and within the different social subjects menus.

The menu bar offers a range of useful functions, two of which are text formatting and the effects that may be asigned to objects.

Text formatting is as one would expect with any word processor or desk top publishing application, for example style, text size and font options.

A user can click on a box to activate it then can access text formatting from the menu bar (opposite) or from the text toolbar (below).

The Effects menu has a range of option some of which are inactive (greyed) if only one object is selected.

The Align option is very useful as it allows objects grouped together to be aligned in a number of ways.

Whichever object is selected can have its colour modified using the effect tool. As can be seen this applies to the fill colour of the object, the line colour of any link and the background colour to the whole screen.
