The Activity Wizard has pre-set a number of features. The children have to drag and drop a symbol from the library to one of the two choices. They can enhance the file by the addition of sound and text editing of the captions.

 As above plus the orginal text in the caption can be edited. For example, changing Sack Lunch to Pack Lunch to match the terminology used in Britain. A symbol is also used to create a new super grouper. In this example this action is left to the teacher.

Using Kidspiration as a concept or mind mapping tool
 

Mind Mapping was first introduced to the teachers and then the classes by a specialist, support for learning teacher. Using each class' topic the children worked with Frances to create their webs, the first four being included below. The children had previously used Kidspiration as a graphic organiser as the samples in set 1 show.
