Designed to aid the development of a web as an introduction to concept mapping.

The class were shown how to add symbols and to link them to the main idea "My Favourite Foods".

To personalise the study children were encouraged to create a 'self-portrait' to replace the main idea symbol.

How?

They selected the Symbol Maker tool from the menu bar.

A fuller explanation is included in the Tools part 1 on this website.

In addition to placing text in the Writing view the children were shown how to record their own descriptions and attach them to each of their foods.

They had to access the Sound menu and choose Record.
