Welcome to the new Signed Resources website launched in June 2009.

This website may be useful to children, parents and professionals. The signs incorporated here involve both national and regional; variations of British Sign Language (BSL).

BSL is a visual gestural language that uses a different medium to spoken language. Different components form the building blocks of BSL including the face, body, handshapes, location and movement (Smith 2001).

The resources have been developed by the Sensory Support Service.
