ICT for Additional Support for Learning (Twilight) Course
JMC - Using ICT to Access Text

An inclusive school approach requires access to information and access to the curriculum in ways appropriate to the learner. Accessing text through ICT can offer pupils the experience of independent study. This course will look at software solutions available in all secondary schools and consider organizational issues.

JMC - Simple ways of Adapting Word to Support the Learner

JMC - Switch Access to the Computer

JMC - Using Kidspiration to supportpupils with ASN

Kidsparation is a mind-mapping/planning computer tool available in all Fife primary schools. This course will explore the ways in which it can increase access to the curriculum for pupils with writing or organisational difficulties. Participants will have the opportunity to create activities for their own pupils.

JMC - Clicker 4 (Introduction)

Clicker 4 is a flexible computer program available in all Fife schools as a support for writing tool. Participants will learn to create Clicker Grids containing words, pictures & sounds in order to:
  • provide a framework for developing writing
  • support pupils with writing difficulties
  • motivate reluctant writers
Participants will have the opportunity to create activities for their own pupils.

JMC - Clicker 4 (Advanced)

Designed for staff familiar with making basic Clicker Grids this course will extend those skills to enable the creation of Grids and Talking Books containing digital photos, sounds & video.
