P7 Parents’ Evening

I was delighted to host our first meeting of the session with parents of P7 pupils from our associated primary schools in preparation for their children moving up to Bell Baxter. It was a successful event with some 400 parents and over 200 pupils present.

Following my presentation, parents and P7 pupils were invited to tour the school and visit classrooms.  Staff and pupils from Bell Baxter were on hand to show the curriculum in action; there were displays and demonstrations of work produced by pupils from across the school.  Afterwards parents returned to the dining hall for tea, where senior staff were available to answer questions.

It was a pleasure to see so many people attend this important event and many were extremely complimentary about the school, the staff and the Prefects on duty.  I will visit the primary schools, along with other senior colleagues, in the coming months to talk about the curriculum before parents are invited to meet with staff at Bell Baxter in June to finalise arrangements for August.
