The four capacities
Curriculum for Excellence
This section will focus on matching activities and resources to the appropriate level in the Curriculum For Excellence as well as considering Energy as a unit or topic in different secondary subjects post level 4.
The 4 capacities are supported by 7 key principles:
- breadth
- challenge and enjoyment
- coherence
- depth
- personalisation and choice
- progression
- relevance
to which a study of energy use and it consequences is ideally suited.
