Active Schools in Glenrothes has provided Play Bags for all primary one classes. These are red rucksacks containing fun, active play equipment, which the children can take turns to use at home with their families. In order to share their ideas with others, notebooks have been placed in every bag so that parents and children can write, draw or take pictures of what games/activities they have played. The bags have been a great success, below are some comments provided by the parents;
“We thought this was great fun. Was something we did as a whole family”
“We had great fun using all the equipment”
“I would hope to buy a similar item such as bag (sic) to help us enjoy more outdoor family time”
“…..it has helped to promote more physical activity and interaction within the family”
