The “Safer Use of Services on the Internet” (SUSI) project is part-funded by the European Commission under its Action Plan on promoting safer use of the Internet.

In a recent development the Scottish Executive is supporting an UK-wide advertising campaign that aims to help protect young people online. The first phase of the campaign used press advertisements to raise awareness of potential difficulties associated with Internet chatrooms. View this at http://www.wiseuptothenet.co.uk/

The second phase of the campaign, aimed at teenagers, has now launched and involves radio and cinema adverts, postcards and a website at http://www.thinkuknow.co.uk
