Access courses provide a flexible and relevant programme for pupils from 3 rd year onwards. They give pupils national recognition for achievements and provide opportunities for pupils to develop a range of skills.

Access courses are made up of units and these units can be studied at three levels:

• Access 1
  Access 1 is designed for pupils who require considerable support for their learning
  Changes In Access 1 Structure

• Access 2
  Access 2 is designed for pupils with more moderate support needs

• Access 3
  Access 3 is comparable to Standard Grade Foundation Level
