ENTRY PROCEDURES

• For each entry SQA requires
  • candidate detail (same as for Standard Grade)
  • details about unit/cluster/group award
  • expected completion date - month and year
• deadline is 10 weeks before the completion date for unit entries
• course entries no later than 31 March for summer certification but only one unit from the course needs to be completed by end of March
• where the unit is in a hierarchy, there is no additional fee if entry level is changed before 31 March e.g. Pupil entered for Access 3 unit can change to Access 2 without additional expense.

NOTE

• A centre must be approved by the SQA to offer the particular qualification they are entering the candidate for.(Any questions? Contact the Approval Section  0845 213 5351)
• A pupil must be entered for the cluster as well as the unit.
• A pupil must be entered for an Access 2 unit instead of a final Access 1 unit.
• Candidates must be in at least third year or at least 15½ years old during the session you are entering them in.
