Every school in Fife has an active pupil council. Listening to children and involving them in the decision-making processes is now widely embedded in school cultures. Evidence of children’s engagement in planning can be seen in each individual’s child’s plan, the work of the Children’s Parliament in Fife and the Children’s Services Plan. |

Parent Councils are well established in all our schools ensuring parental views are considered when setting improvement priorities in individual schools. We have also established a Parenting Strategy across services, delivered by early years and parenting sub-groups across Fife. Our Family Support in Fife project has received two ministerial visits this year and features as good practice on the Scottish Government website. |
