Information taken from the Jet propulsion website. The few sample files included here are part of a collection of 266 images and associated descriptions, many of which are very useful to Geography classwork or private teacher study.

This fascinating view from space of a piedmont glacier in Alaska shows the distinctive features associated with a valley glacier as it spreads out onto a wide plain. Compare this view with the French Alps collection in the Image Bank.

Very clearly defined volcanoes and craters from the island of Bali. The different filters used by spacecraft help to focus on the volcanoes' features.
