The Flexible Curriculum offers an alternative learning model in a community environment to

disengaged and marginalised young people.

There is one full time member of staff.

The programmes main focus is S3 and S4 students but it has been rolled out to offer courses to S1

and S2 students where there is evidence of need.

Courses are provided over two full afternoon and three single period sessions aimed at increasing

academic achievement, enhancing emloyability, raising self-esteem and improving life skills. The

two afternoon sessions take place in community learning centres and adopt a multi-agency

approach to provision.
